Fishermen’s Terminal

Seattle’s Hidden Gem.

Come to Fishermen’s Terminal for the Ice Cream Cruise or a charter, and plan to spend some time in this fascinating place. For over 100 years Fishermen’s Terminal has been home to a large share of the North Pacific fishing fleet, and is the center of a vibrant industry that builds, repairs and crews these hard working boats.

Unlike most marinas, the docks at Fishermen’s Terminal are open to the public. While other kinds of workboats and recreational boats now use the docks, you will always find many fine examples of fishing boat and the other vessels that support the fleet. Learn to spot crabbers, purse seiners, trollers, trawlers and longliners. And for fans of The Deadliest Catch, some of the stars can be spotted here.

And, while you are here, enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack at one of the businesses that will keep you from getting hungry:

  • Little Chinooks–fish bar and much more.
  • Fishermen’s Green–deli with custom sandwiches and snacks
  • Bay Cafe–classic diner open for breakfast and lunch
  • Chinooks–A regional favorite sit-down seafood restaurant

Don’t forget to visit the Fishermen’s Memorial, which recognizes those who have lost their lives in the treacherous waters of the Pacific Ocean.

And, if you head out Commodore Way about a mile, you will come to the south entrance to the Ballard Locks, with the fish ladder and excellent viewing of the marine mammals that gather there.

We know you will enjoy the new home of the Ice Cream Cruise.
